How Can Feng Shui Make Your Hotel Great?

Just like restaurants, the most successful hotels and resorts have a welcoming, balanced energy that instantly makes guests feel at home. Here are a few key Feng Shui tips that can help ensure your guests will keep coming back:

  • Harmonious Entrance: The entryway sets the tone. It should be balanced and welcoming, creating a sense of safety and ease.
  • Reception Desk: Avoid placing the reception desk under beams or in areas where the ceiling is low, as this can create a feeling of discomfort.
  • Bathrooms Placement: Keep bathrooms as far from the front entrance as possible to maintain a balanced flow of energy.
  • Level Floors: Ensure each floor is level, avoiding rises and drops that disrupt the flow of energy.
  • Staircase Design: Stairs should ideally turn clockwise rather than counter-clockwise to allow for smoother energy flow.
  • Water Features: Incorporating fountains or pools at the front of the resort brings prosperity and calming energy.
  • Toilet Visibility: Toilets should be discreet and hidden from view in guest rooms. If possible, they should be separated from sinks by a door.
  • Cleanliness is Key: As with all Feng Shui, cleanliness is crucial. Keep the hotel organized and ensure dumpsters and trash cans are hidden and polished.
